Welcome to 2020-2021 school year. We are excited to begin this year with you!!

Our LAMC students have been busy getting acquainted with their classroom environment, working with their teachers, and making new friendships. Throughout the day, they are not only learning to follow the ground rules, but they are engaging with the different Montessori materials that are self-directed and self-correcting. Our trained staff are there to guide the students to learn at their own level and offer assistance to help them grow and succeed.

The toddler community at Lakes Area Montessori Center is always buzzing with activities. Children work peacefully on activities designed to develop their concentration and the love of learning. We invite you to take a peek into our classroom and see what we've been up to lately.

Enjoy some pictures from our recent Grandparents Day and Halloween Fun day!

Our students enjoyed the field trip to Erwin’s Apple Orchard with their families. Even with the cold temperature, the students managed to enjoy the hay ride, pick their apples and pumpkins, jump in the hay stacks, feed the animals and ate the delicious donut and apple cider. Part of our daily routine, the students spend time outside enjoying our beautiful nature scenery and playing in our playgrounds. Some students also enjoy playing basketball and soccer. We are excited to share some pictures from our first few weeks of school!

LAMC 2018-2019 EVENTS

40th Anniversay Celebration 

Wow! Our 40th Anniversary picnic was a great success. It was a day filled with food, entertainment, fun and memories of children working in the Montessori classrooms. Current and Alumni families came together to celebrate the legacy of Lakes Area Montessori Center. 

We saw some of our previous students who have now graduated high school and college. We also saw some of our

previous teachers who taught at Lakes for many years. It was a great day for everyone!

29th Annual Science Fair

Lakes Area Montessori celebrated its 29th Annual Science Fair. Every year, our students age 4 to 10 years have the opportunity to select a topic to research, prepare and present to their classmates and families. 

Parents and grandparents came to witness the outstanding work of the students of LAMC.

We're extermely proud of all the accomplishments our students have made and we encourage you to make time to come in our school for a tour at your convenience.

Thanksgiving Feast

Our Lakes Area Montessori families had the opportunity to enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving meal with their children.

LAMC 2017-2018 EVENTS

Summer Camp

During our “Community Helpers” themed week of summer camp, we had a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Tilli from the West Bloomfield Police Department. The campers learned about the different jobs people do in the department and how they help in the community. Campers were able to see the different types of equipment used by the police and were able to experience what it is like to be inside a police car.

28th Annual Science Fair
